Niobrara National Scenic River

This is easily the best river for canoeing and kayaking in Nebraska. It’s clean, swift and has breathtaking sandstone cliff banks which are home to more than 200 waterfalls.
The best stretch of river for day or multi-day trips is found near Valentine, NE., beginning near the Cornell Bridge and ending at the highway 137 bridge. This stretch of river is known as the Niobrara National Scenic River. It has much to offer, ranging from class I to class IV rapids, it will keep both the amateur and experienced paddler on their toes.
Please visit the official NPS.gov site for far more information than I could possibly provide here. Also, take time to research your trip as there are a few very tretcherous, potentially deadly rapids on this stretch of river.
